Mildred (Millie) Hyman, 85, Beloit, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018. Millie was born on May 14th, 1932 in Victoria, Kansas to Joseph and Helen (Weigel) Weber. Millie grew up on a farm north of Victoria. When she was thirteen years old, Millie and her family moved to a farm south of Beloit. When she was eighteen, she met her husband Bob at a barn dance. They were united in marriage on January 24th, 1953. To this union, nine children were born. Phillip, Barb, Debi, Mike, Jim, Danny, Peggy, Janet, and Bobby. Millie was a housewife. She stayed at home and raised all nine of her children.
Her hobbies included cooking, embroidering, and playing bingo. Everyone knew her as “Mamo”. She loved spending time with family and had a love for animals. She had a very caring soul. She cared for her children as well as friends of her children.
Millie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bob, her son Phillip, daughter in laws, Sondra and Nancy, sister, Dorinda, and brothers, Linus, Leroy, Donnie, and Bill. She is survived by her children, Barb Hamilton (Greg) of Abilene, Debi Clark (Click), Mike Hyman (Mary), and Jim Hyman, all of Beloit, Danny Hyman (Loretta) of Concordia, Peggy Anderson (Mike) of Apache Junction, Arizona, Janet Schmidt and Bobby (Savanna) Hyman, also of Beloit, and family friend, Ric Schweitzer of Parker, Colorado. Millie is also survived by her siblings Marcellus Weber (Winnie Mae), Norman Weber, and Cecilia Hyman of Beloit, twenty three grandchildren and thirty one great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 6th from 3-7 p.m. at Schoen Funeral Home and Monuments with family present from 6 to 7 p.m. A Vigil/rosary service will begin at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 7th at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
