Kathleen Arbogast

October 25, 1941 — March 30, 2025

Downs

Kathleen Kay Arbogast, cherished homemaker and beloved family matriarch, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on October 25, 1941, Kathleen was a woman of great spirit and warmth, whose life was filled with love for her family and friends.

Kathleen's dedication to her family was evident in all that she did. She found joy in simple pleasures, such as camping trips and creating delicious pancakes for her grandchildren, who revered her for her nurturing nature. Her love for dogs and her delightful collection of bells mirrored her vivacious personality, bringing a sense of joy and comfort to all who knew her.

Kathleen shared a deep bond with her husband of 64 years, Jack, with whom she worked side by side in supporting their community through the Meals on Wheels program. Together, they exemplified commitment and compassion, making a positive impact on those they served.

Her legacy lives on through her loving family: her husband Jack, sons Tim (Kim) Arbogast of Kearney, NE; Oran Arbogast of Wood River, NE; Kent Arbogast of Wood River, NE; and Tom Arbogast of Wood River, NE; as well as her beloved grandchildren, Ryan, Heather, and Nick Arbogast. Additionally, she is survived by her brother, Dan Taylor of Salina, KS, who will fondly remember their shared moments and the bond of family.

Though she is preceded in death by her parents and siblings—Larry, Daryl, and Don Taylor, Lola Hunter, and Wilma Kruger—Kathleen's love and kindness will resonate deeply within the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her.

As we remember Kathleen Kay Arbogast, let us celebrate the extraordinary life she led, filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Her unwavering spirit will continue to inspire her family and friends in the years to come.
