Janice Elaine Alvis, A cherished mother and beloved sister, passed away peacefully on December 9th, 2024, in Wichita, Kansas, at the age of 63. Born on March 2, 1961, in Oakley, Kansas, known for her kind heart and unwavering devotion to her family.

Janice graduated from Oakley High School in 1980, and her education laid the foundation for a life filled with love and strength. She dedicated herself not only to her own personal growth but also to nurturing those around her. Janice's greatest joys came from spending time with her family and grandchildren, often organizing gatherings that became treasured memories for all who attended.

She is survived by her sons Jeremy Alvis of Downs, Ks and Kyle Alvis of Hays, Ks, and grandchildren, who will carry forward her legacy of love and support. Janice is also remembered by her siblings: her brother Dave Geist of Dodge City, Kansas, James Geist of Oakley, Kansas, and her sisters Kathy Wilkins of Dodge City and Laureen Samaniego of Julimes, Mexico. 

Janice's journey was marked by the memory of her beloved sons Carl Alvis Jr. and Kevin Alvis, who preceded her in death. She is also reunited with her mother, Norma Jean Geist, her father, Alvin Geist, her brother Bob Geist, and her brother-in-law Mack Wilkins, who have all left a profound impact on her life.

Janice Elaine Alvis will be remembered for her nurturing spirit, her unyielding commitment to family, and her ability to bring people together.
