Bob P. Anderson

Downs

Bobby P. Anderson was born on August 22, 1935, in the small KS town of Bellaire. He passed away peacefully on April 1, 2025, in his hometown of Downs, KS. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Carol Anderson, parents Mildred and Perle Anderson, his older sister Peggy Jones and his younger brother Billy J. Anderson.

Bob (Dad) is survived by his 4 children, Billy P. (Karla) Anderson and Tab J. Anderson both of Downs, KS. Cathy (Eric) Bristol of Manhattan, KS. and Jo Ann (Bob) Glover of Camas, WA. Grandchildren are Samantha Schweitzer, Osborne, KS. Michael (Noelle) Blood-Anderson, Omaha, NE. Bobby (Steve LaRocque) Davis, Austin, TX. Eric (Jamie Gingell) Davis, Pueblo, CO. Jordon (Aiden Forrest) Estreito, Catskill, NY. Daniel (Tessa) Estreito, Washougal, WA. Several great grandchildren as well.

Dad was a loving and dedicated husband and father. He enjoyed singing and playing the guitar. In his younger years he and his brother Bill formed a band called the Rockin Ravens. He worked hard on the farm as well as for the county department. He retired from Kansas State Highway Department at age 62 where he made a lot of great friends. As busy as he was, he always found quality time for us kids. Dad loved to laugh. His laugh was one of a kind. A person didn't even have to see him in the room to know that Bob Anderson was there just by his laughter. His love, laughter and guidance will be missed more than words can express. One of the very last things our dad said to us kids was that he wanted us to live our lives. Well Dad, we're going to do just that. For you and all you've done for us, we'll live our lives to the fullest with you in our hearts!
